We were able to successfully raise awareness and stimulate discussion all week about some of the challenges our local youth are facing, including the impact poverty has on education and the impact of being displaced from your home. #IamJLL The is celebrating 99 years of service in Louisville. Leadership Development Training One of the cornerstones of ’s mission is developing effective volunteers through a variety of formal experiential training. A member’s placement on various committees is where she gains hands-on training. Our goal is to build on members’ strengths, and empower them to be more effective in their community, professional and personal endeavors. Education JLL currently focuses on education as a community issue. We are impacting education in the Louisville community through a variety of dynamic projects including Little Libraries (in partnership with Metro United Way), Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (in partnership with WAVE3), Maryhurst, and Boys’ and Girl’s Haven.
